The spectators experience live surround sound in a new, exorbitant show. 7 musicians and a conductor of the Vertical Orchestra slowly take off from the ground and set off to dizzying heights during their performance.
Impressive tonal collages make a futuristic effect and change the form of their sounds with the choreographed moving images throughout the entire airspace. The individual musicians of the ensemble suddenly break out of the harmonious flow of the performance, play off-key tones and move in an apparently uncontrolled manner through the action area. The conductor attempts to get the outsiders back into the group, but increasingly loses authority over the musical organisation.
Fast somersaults and pirouettes reveal how on edge his nerves are. He impresses the audience with an artistic solo performance that looks like he has lost his mind and then regains his authority.
Hi-tech, artistic virtuosity and impressive music compositions unite into an audiovisual spectacle.
